Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Governor, Dr John Mangudya has hailed the USD$8million housing project by Homelink, which he said will offer affordable and better accommodation to the low and middle income earning families.
Addressing guests in Bindura at the Homelink groundbreaking ceremony, Mangudya noted the good gesture by Homelink and urged the company to speed up the completion of the housing project.
“Housing is important and it is supposed to be of good quality and affordable, through building and construction Zimbabwe will surely be open for business."
“The banking sector has also done well in terms of construction, there has been an increase in the number of houses built, in 2016-1531, 2017-7500 and this year 12 000 units are expected to be constructed,
“This is the second phase of the housing project for Homelink, the first was one in Tynwald were 3000 units were built.” said Mangudya.
